Everybody wants a hot tub these days, it seems. And to be honest, when you look at it, it's kind of confusing as to why. They are expensive to purchase, expensive to maintain, and for what gain? To sit in a big pool of heated water that has a few massaging heads? If that's all one wants, a bath tub is much cheaper and easier to maintain than a hot tub. So there must be some kind of pull for people to want to buy a hot tub….but what is it? There are many possibilities, of course, but I believe they can be narrowed down to two things.
In many places, people attempt to compare hot tubs with saunas. Sadly, they're really comparing apples to oranges. It's true that they're both fruits, and they are both good for you, but that's about where the similarities end. So it is with hot tubs and saunas. It's true that they're both heat related, relaxing, and good for your health, the similarities really end there.
If you have ever laid an outdoor patio or decking and hooked up an indoor washing machine, you are well placed in knowing how to install a hot tub. Having said that, although installation is a breeze to the above average diy'er, it still requires a lot of planning.
